As the principal in a small/medium sized marketing agency I have had many challeges building technology infrastructure and truly embrazing technology as a foundation for business. But I beleive I have finally hit a plateau in my troubles and after years of frustration have finally succeeded in getting a handle on our company tech.
From all this pain and anquish has also come much knowledge. I have attained a bit of tech ability myself, through years of hellish trial and error, but even more importantly I have been able to understand the usuability of technology as it relates to real world business use. As an entreprenuer I have myself implemented the company's Quickbooks accounting system and I know the benefits as well as the problems. I have built a company network that began with 3 stations to a network that now houses 35 workstations. I know this must be small potatoes to all you super techs out there who handle hundreds of workstations and servers simultaneously, but then this blog isn't for you. I'm writing this blog for the entreprenuer who has grown their business as I did, from the ground up. I have started my business from my bedroom and now just 5 short years later am in a 4000 sq.ft studio. And now I'm publishing to the world the knowledge I have gained as it pertains to technology, and how I have made it work for me out there in the real world.
